I try to post mainly about legal issues - not necessarily about myself. But one thing that I pride myself on is my responsiveness. If you call/text/email, I will get back to you right away.
First and foremost, I believe that it's just good business.
Though at the same time, I realize the stress and trauma that you are going through. Being charged with a crime - or being the close friend or loved one of somebody charged with a crime - is a terrible thing to endure. And while you're dealing with the stress of a criminal charge, the last thing you need is for your lawyer not to be returning your calls.
I implore you to look at my reviews on AVVO and Google. One consistent comment I receive is that I am responsive. I answer my phone; I respond to emails immediately. I return calls in a timely fashion.
I think this is one of the most important by often overlooked aspect of being an attorney. You paid the lawyer...the least that he or she should do is return your calls.
An attorney should strive to alleviate a client's stress. Not add to it.
When hiring a criminal defense attorney, remember that an attorney's responsiveness is a very important criteria one should consider.
