With the recent Coronavirus pandemic, Courts in Miami-Dade County are closing.
Broward County Courthouses (main courthouse and the three satellite courthouses) will be closed beginning March 16, 2020, for a period of two weeks. Emergency and special exceptions apply and can be viewed on the Broward Courts Website.
Miami-Dade Courts will also be closed beginning March 17, 2020, for about ten days. Check the Miami Courts website for updates.
If you are a defendant in any criminal proceeding in Miami-Dade County or Broward County, make sure that you communicate with your criminal defense attorney to find out when and if you need to appear in court. As well, you will want to find out when your case is being reset.
