Believe it or not, FDLE has been able to process applications to seal and expunge Florida criminal records with surprising efficiency during the COVID-19 Pandemic.
Here we are, in July, and FDLE is processing applications submitted in February 2020.
Likely, this is the result of less people submitting applications right now as court closures have made it difficult to obtain certified court dispositions and many police stations are not offering fingerprinting services or are limiting the hours in which those services are offered.
In any event, if you submitted your application in February of this year, expect to hear back from FDLE very soon. Hopefully, with a Certificate of Eligibility!
