As of October 2015, the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) is processing all sealing/expungement applications submitted in June 2015.
This means that if your application to seal or expunge your Florida criminal record was filed in June, you should be getting your certificate of eligibility about now.
The entire process of sealing or expunging a record in the State of Florida takes approximately 6 months from start to finish.
FDLE takes about 60-90 days to either issue a certificate of eligibility, which is then filed with the court, or to issue a denial.
An application to seal or expunge will be denied if you have a conviction on your record, you have previously sealed or expunged a record in the State of Florida before, you have an open case or warrant, or the charge which your are seeking to seal is not an eligible offense.
If you are seeking the sealing or expunction of your criminal record in Florida, call me. I seal and expunge records statewide.
