In the past year, several residential burglaries have been reported in the usually safe communities of Weston and Parkland.
One suspect is in police custody. The suspect, a 24-year old man from Hollywood, has been charged with seven counts of burglary and two counts of armed burglary. So far he is the only person who has been arrested in connection with the break-ins.
The 24-year old suspect has been ordered to be held without bond.
Each count of burglary of an unoccupied dwelling carries a maximum of 15 years in prison, while each count of armed burglary carries a maximum of life in prison.
