A suspect who was wounded during a school burglary has been captured by police. The capture came as a result of tips.
On Friday, police located the 21-year-old suspect, who is accused of breaking into an elementary school to steal copper wires from the rooftop of the school.
The suspect is presently in the Miami-Dade jail, charged with the following: grand theft in the second degree (multiple counts), grand theft in the third degree (multiple counts), felony criminal mischief (multiple counts), possession of burglary tools (multiple counts), and burglary of an unoccupied structure with over $1,000 in damage (multiple counts). Believe it or not, the suspect is being held without a bond as burglary causing more than $1,000 in damage is a felony punishable by life in the State of Florida.
