In recent years, the expected turnaround time for an expungement or sealing application has been about 6-8 months.
Things aren’t moving much quicker. According to FDLE (Florida Department of Law Enforcement), applications received in December of 2013 are now being processed.
Remember that expungements take a little bit longer than sealing because the State Attorney’s Office in the county in which the case was disposed must first process the application before it goes to FDLE.
A sealing goes directly to FDLE.
