Two young men were arrested in Doral on suspicion of multiple counts of burglary of an unoccupied conveyance.
When confronted by police, the two men allegedly stated that they were breaking into cars in order to steal items that could be sold. With the money they would make, they had planned on buying tickets to the Ultra Music Festival, currently going on in Miami.
Both of the accused young men were released on Pretrial Services, which means that they do not have to post a monetary bond. However, if they violate the terms of their pretrial release, they can be taken into custody on what's known as an "alternate bond."
According to police reports, the two young men were in possession of several items stolen from the cars.
Burglary of an unoccupied conveyance, also known as vehicle burglary, is a felony punishable by up to 5 years in prison in the State of Florida.
