FLDE (Florida Department of Law Enforcement) made several arrests for dealing in stolen property regarding the theft and illegal transfer of a firearm allegedly used in the murder of a Florida police officer.

Dealing in stolen property is a second-degree felony in the State of Florida, punishable by up to 15 years in prison.

It is unknown at this time whether additional charges, such as accessory after the fact, will result from this investigation since the stolen property was allegedly a murder weapon.

Eric Matheny is a criminal defense attorney in Miami-Dade and Broward.
