An employee of the Palm Beach public school system has been charged with failure to return a hired vehicle. This is a grand theft auto charge when a rental car is involved.
The employee is accused of taking a rental car from a company back in 2011 and failing to return it to the company.
Failure to return a hired vehicle is a third-degree felony in Florida punishable by up to 5 years in state prison.
