A Miami man was allegedly the victim of a armed carjacking while pumping gas at a North Miami-Dade gas station.
After the alleged carjackers encountered the alleged victim at gunpoint, the alleged victim escaped but was shot in the upper shoulder. The suspects got away.
If arrested, the accused suspects will likely face armed carjacking and attempted felony murder charges. Since a firearm was used, the 10-20-Life mandatory minimums will apply. In this case, there will be a 25-year mandatory minimum sentence since the discharge of the firearm caused serious bodily injury.
No leads so far, according to the Miami-Dade Police Department.
