A Palm Beach man who had interned for a doctor has been charged with using fake prescriptions to obtain Xanax.
The accused is alleged to have used his position within the doctor's office to obtain prescription information, which he allegedly called into a pharmacy and then attempted to pick up.
When asked by the pharmacy whether he had authorized the prescriptions, the doctor said no.
Xanax, or alprazolam, is a controlled substance in the State of Florida that can only be possessed by those who have valid prescriptions.
If charged with trafficking in Xanax, you can face mandatory prison time.
