Two women have been arrested and charged with grand theft after allegedly stealing roughly $400 worth of underwear from a Boynton Beach Sears.
According to police reports, the two women were leaving the store with the merchandise when they were confronted by store security. The women allegedly attacked the store security officers. One of the women was restrained, the other allegedly left the scene.
In a situation where violence is committed against a store employee during the commission of a shoplifting offense, the charge can be elevated to strong-arm robbery.
