CBS Local reports that a Miami home explosion has launched a police investigation into a possible marijuana grow house.
Police are looking for the occupants of the home, who were supposedly renters.
Police believe that the explosion was caused by the chemcial vapor present in some growing operations. Coupled with the electricity needed to run the grow lights, it is common for fires and explosions to occur.
Police find marijuana grow houses a number of ways. However, during an emergency situation such as this, police alerted to the property will likely find the marijuana and growing materials in plain view.
A grow house can lead to different types of charges. Possession with intent to sell and trafficking in cannabis (marijuana) are two common grow house-related charges.
