A Broward County man has been found guilty by a jury of attempting to hire a hit man to kill four witnesses in an unrelated murder case.
The man was convicted of fourt counts attempted solicitation to commit first-degree murder by a jury.
Attempted solicitation to commit first-degree murder is a first-degree felony. Each count carries a maximum of 30 years in prison.
The accused man has been charged with the murder of his wife. While in custody on that charge, he was accused of attempting to hire a hitman to murder witnesses in that case. What the accused did not realize was that the "hitman" was an undercover police officer.
