A Palm Beach County man is charged with aggravated stalking after allegedly following and harassing a female neighbor. It is unknown at this time how long the alleged conduct had been going on prior to the arrest.
In order to prove any stalking charge, a course of conduct is required. Stalking cannot be just one isolated incident.
The accused is reported to have made credible threats of bodily harm to the alleged victim, which is likely the basis for the felony charge. Stalking, by itself, is a misdemeanor. Aggravated stalking is a third-degree felony punishable by up to five years in state prison.
