A 32-year old Broward County man has been charged with kidnapping, firearm possession by a convicted felon, and aggravated stalking. He is accused of entering a medical clinic in Deerfield Beach with a gun and kidnapping an employee. Investigators believe that the accused and the alleged victim know each other and that the incident was not random.
The accused allegedly took the woman to a home in Coral Springs where a long stand-off with police took place. After about seven hours, the accused reportedly let the alleged victim go and was taken into custody.
If convicted of the crimes he is charged with, the accused can be sentenced to life in prison. He is being held without bond in the Broward County Jail.
