The Lauderhill Police Department, along with several other Broward County police agencies, will be conducting a DUI checkpoint from 7 p.m. Friday, July 6, to 3 a.m. Saturday, July 7.
The checkpoint will be at or near the 3400 block of West Sunrise Boulevard..
A DUI checkpoint is an opportunity for law enforcement to approach your car to determine whether the driver appears to be under the influence.
In addition to DUI investigations, law enforcement officers use checkpoints as an opportunity to check the status of your driver's license, check for outstanding warrants, and check to see if they can see or smell drugs in your car.
