An alleged feud between neighbors resulted in the arrest of an Oakland Park mother and her teenaage daughter, who are accused of using a baseball bat and a knife to attack the teenager next door on Tuesday.
According to authorities, a 46-year old mother and her 17-year-old daughter attacked a 15-year-old neighbor and slammed the girl's puppy on the ground during Tuesday's incident in Oakland Park.
Broward Sheriff's Office deputies responded to the scene after the mother allegedly struck the girl in the stomach, and her daughter allegedly used a knife to stab the girl in the forearm area. Deputies allegedly saw the mother waving the bat at a group of teenagers.
The teenage girl was taken to Holy Cross Hospital, where she was treated and released. The puppy, a mixed bulldog, was not seriously hurt.
The mother and her daughter were charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon. The daughter was also charged with animal cruelty.
